When I started Ingrained Digital, I didn’t have a big team, a huge budget, or a five-year roadmap. What I did have was a clear vision: help ambitious founders, CEOs, and teams build reputations on social media -particularly LinkedIn – that open doors.

This article is by Freddie Paxton, who is the founder of Ingrained Digital.

Before launching Ingrained, I’d already spent years working in personal branding. I’d seen first-hand how inconsistent, one-off campaigns often fell short. There was a better way; one that combined deep strategic input with a repeatable, efficient process that delivered real results. That belief became the foundation of everything we’ve built since.

Less than a year later, we’d grown to six figures and become profitable faster than I could have imagined. Today, we work with highly esteemed entrepreneurs and executives across multiple continents – even professional footballers – to craft personal brands that drive influence and opportunity.

We also have contacts inside LinkedIn who help us stay ahead of the curve and understand where the platform is heading.

Looking back, there are a few things that made all the difference.

1. Don’t chase scale too soon

So many early-stage founders obsess over headcount, office space, and “looking” like a bigger company. In reality, you only need one thing at the start: a service people will pay for because it solves a real problem. I doubled down on building relationships and delivering results. Once word spread, growth took care of itself.

2. Nail a repeatable process – then improve it relentlessly

We developed a content model that lets clients turn everyday conversations into high-performing thought leadership. It works because it’s consistent. Each time we refine it, the results compound – both for us and our clients. If you want to scale, make it easy to deliver quality at speed. Systems are what let you grow without burning out.

3. Build credibility before you need it

Clients don’t just buy a service. They buy trust. I spent time sharing my knowledge online, growing my own presence, and demonstrating the value of reputation-building. By the time prospects reached out, they already understood the impact of what we do.

4. Say yes to the right opportunities – even if they scare you

Our first partnerships with high-profile CEOs and professional footballers came from saying yes to opportunities that stretched us. Big breaks often feel uncomfortable at first. That’s where growth happens.

5. Play the long game

Every post, every conversation, every referral compounds. Success rarely comes from one “big win.” It’s the small, consistent actions that stack up over time.
If you’re an early-stage entrepreneur, focus on three things:

✅ Solve a painful problem for a clearly defined audience
✅ Build a process that delivers results every single time
✅ Share your expertise openly to create trust long before the sale

That’s how Ingrained Digital grew so fast – and how we’ll continue to scale while staying true to what made us successful in the first place.

Because at the end of the day, reputation is everything. And if you invest in building it for your clients – and yourself – growth follows.
