Leading IT and cyber security provider Nebula has officially launched Nebula Labs, a pioneering new platform designed to help businesses safely explore, test, and adopt artificial intelligence.

The launch took place during Nebula’s flagship event, Wake the Robots, held at Bristol’s immersive arts venue Wake The Tiger, which brought together over 70 business leaders from across the South West to discuss the opportunities and challenges presented by AI.

Nebula Labs is designed to bridge the gap between AI potential and practical business outcomes,  offering organisations a secure, collaborative environment to experiment with AI tools, validate use cases, and deploy tailored solutions.

The initiative marks a major step forward for Nebula, further strengthening its position as one of the region’s most innovative technology firms. Through Nebula Labs, businesses can work directly with AI specialists to design and implement ethical, high-impact solutions that deliver measurable results.

Chris Pottrell, Managing Director at Nebula, said:

“AI is moving faster than most businesses can keep up with, and our role is to bridge that gap. With Nebula Labs, we’re giving companies a safe space to experiment, test ideas, and turn innovation into impact. The launch represents a huge step forward for us — and for the South West business community. It’s about empowering leaders to embrace AI with confidence and clarity.”

The Wake the Robots event featured a range of guest speakers from Nebula, Pax8, and other technology innovators, who explored how artificial intelligence is reshaping industries, improving efficiency, and driving new competitive advantages. Attendees also heard open discussions on the ethical, operational, and data governance challenges associated with AI adoption.

The event, known for its creative and unconventional setting, reflected Nebula’s mission to make technology accessible, human-centred, and forward-thinking. Highlights included live demos of emerging AI tools, practical discussions on business readiness, and the official unveiling of Nebula Labs — which drew significant interest from attendees keen to see how they could get involved.

Nebula Labs aims to make AI adoption practical and achievable for organisations of all sizes, from those taking their first steps into automation to those looking to scale advanced systems. Businesses can engage through workshops, pilot programmes, and direct collaboration with Nebula’s in-house AI experts.

The Labs will also host a series of follow-up sessions throughout 2026, offering hands-on access to emerging tools, use cases, and implementation strategies.
