Docusign (NASDAQ: DOCU) is expanding its Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) platform in the UK with new features for contract preparation, contract processing, and AI-powered review.
The new features help companies create, review, and negotiate contracts more efficiently, and reduce manual processes prior to electronic signature.
In many companies, contract creation is still a manual, cross-departmental process. Documents are forwarded multiple times, versions are edited in parallel, and status information is reconciled via email.
A single average B2B contract takes four to six weeks to sign and incurs internal costs of £750, with organisations signing multiple contracts annually. It often travels back and forth between the legal department, sales, and purchasing more than 15 times. Most of the time is not lost in signing, but in preparation and review.
A 2025 Deloitte report* shows that companies with more advanced contract creation capabilities outperform their financial goals 55% more than organisations that create agreements from scratch. 77% of leaders in high-performing organisations credit agreement management with business success, and 47% are more likely to outperform financial goals with advanced routing, editing and approval features. Legal teams improve lifecycle time goals by about 2.4x with advanced creation and approval capabilities.
“With these new capabilities, we are enabling structured and connected collaboration throughout the entire agreement process,” says Maxime Hambersin, Senior Director of Product Management International at Docusign. “Teams can now manage templates, track progress, and review contract clauses without the friction of switching between tools or versions. By reducing repetitive manual tasks, we are paving the way for a new generation of smarter, actionable contracts that empower teams to focus on high-impact strategic activities.”
