A prominent business podcast host is set to undergo a gargantuan challenge to raise awareness of mental health struggles amongst founders.
Ollie Tiramuragan Collard is the host of Founded & Grounded, a well-known podcast which talks to founders about their journey in business. Between September 11 and September 13 he will spend 59 hours straight interviewing founders back to back to attempt a world record and raise money for mental health charity Talk Club.
A report from Sifted found that 94 per cent of founders reported a mental health struggle last year. Whether that’s feeling broken or hopeless, or whether it shows up as anxiety, high stress, burnout, isolation or depression.
Ollie says that this initiative – which is called be HEARD– will help to shine a light on this issue.
Founders can put themselves forward to be interviewed, with slots available over the 59 hours. Founders will be interviewed at Films at 59 in Bristol and be part of a 1-hour in-person conversation that is recorded live as part of the record attempt and streamed to YouTube & LinkedIn.
The recording will also become a standalone podcast episode.
Interview slots are filling up but 9amBusiness readers who are founders can use the code TRAILBLAZER to book a slot and get a discount via beheardlive.co.uk
Ollie comments: “I have been lucky to interview hundreds of founders over the years and they are all putting everything on the line to achieve something amazing. But the data doesn’t lie – for many there is a secret mental health battle that rages on and I want to use this opportunity to not only raise money for a great mental fitness charity but also raise awareness of the issue.”
