Beat the Brain Surgeon® is back, giving businesses from across the South West the chance to go head-to-head with the Neurosurgery team at Bristol Children’s Hospital in a unique corporate quiz night that raises vital funds for The Grand Appeal, the hospital’s dedicated charity.
The black-tie event will take place at Bristol Grand Hotel on Friday 16 October 2026, starting at 6.30pm. Teams will test their knowledge, creativity and teamwork in an unforgettable evening of top-tier quizzing, delicious dining, an exciting raffle and friendly rivalry, all in support of Bristol Children’s Hospital.
This is no ordinary quiz. Beat the Brain Surgeon® offers a rare opportunity to take on some of the brightest minds in the region and see whether your team can outsmart the brain surgeons themselves. After corporate teams beat the Neurosurgery team in 2023, the surgeons are returning determined to reclaim the title in 2026.
Adding to the atmosphere will be the event’s hosts, Bristol favourites Alex Lovell and Seb Choudhury, who will keep the energy high and the questions coming as teams compete to be crowned Bristol’s smartest business.
The event is proudly supported by Family Adventures Group, whose backing will help make the evening even more special for guests while raising vital funds for Bristol Children’s Hospital.
Every ticket purchased and every raffle entry will help The Grand Appeal fund lifesaving equipment for critically ill babies and children, support pioneering research and provide family accommodation when it matters most.

Teams can also start sharpening their quiz skills ahead of the big night with Brain Bogglers, The Grand Appeal’s weekly online quiz held every Friday. The virtual quiz offers a fun way to warm up, build team spirit and get into competitive mode before taking on the brain surgeons at the main event.
Registration costs £800 for one team of five or £1,400 for two teams of five and a full table of 10. Both packages include a drinks reception, five bottles of wine for a table of 10, a three-course dinner and quiz entry.
